There are few people I know who don’t want to change anything. Most who I encounter are contemplating changes ranging from small to gargantuan. Interestingly, the size of the shift often isn’t proportionate to the turmoil it causes. 



This afternoon my son had his Science Fair, and before school, I asked him how many parents were going to make it – it was scheduled for mid-day. He said less than half the kids reported that their parent would attend – they had to work.

If you’re superstitious, and even if you’re not, you’ve probably heard an axiom or two about bad things and the way they unfold. In fact, you may have collected years worth of evidence proving they’re true. However, if you’ve ever asked yourself, “Why do bad things happen to me?” the answer likely much simpler than you think and has little to do with “threes” or being caught up in a roll of bad luck.
