We all know people who are constantly talking about the good old days. No matter where they are or what they’re doing, life was better before. In fact, many of those people are on the search to recreate the magic. They’re always moving from job to job, hoping that one of them will have the spark they crave. Or for others, it’s relationship to relationship or town to town.
It’s school holiday time in Australia, and for the first time in a long time our family decided to stay in town. No big events planned, my kids are simply hanging out (and I’m trying to squeeze in some work).
Over the years, I’ve worked with many coaching clients who wanted to be “the leader”. They wanted a bigger title, more money, recognition, and prestige as if it would finally unlock their hearts, unleash their passion, and create a fulfilling life. I hated to break it to them, leadership ain’t easy. There are easier paths to take… which is why we start our work with why are they compelled to lead.
