What a strange year it’s been.
Usually, at the end of the year, I like to look back at my most popular posts to understand what’s on people’s minds. This year, I wrote less often and frequently focused on, you guessed it, the pandemic. Nevertheless, many of my most popular posts were evergreen – helping you lead and thrive during the pandemic and beyond.
When reviewing the most visited posts of the year, patterns began to emerge, and three came to the forefront: Goals and productivity, leadership development, and creating a fulfilling life.
Over the last 12 months, most of us, stuck in our homes, realized that time felt a little more fluid. Work happened at odd hours and days blended from one to the next.

A great list and interesting to see what people have been focused on this year. I’ll be having a read of your posts on leadership in the virtual world having been one of those managers thrust into virtual leadership – it is certainly more challenging than face-to-face leadership!

Hi Alli…great post! I took a couple of weeks off and was very interested to see which of your posts got the most attention. I occurred to me that we are now to the place where all of these trends are becoming interrelated. It’s harder to separate leadership development from fulfilling goals and productivity. It’s a great trend because I see more people wanting to integrate all aspects of their life, not just focus on one area. Thank you and Happy New Year!
Alli Polin says
I think you’re right, LaRae. It’s not all work or all life but a sense of growth and development across the spectrum that takes us where we want to go and adds meaning too.
Happy New Year!
