I was a huge fan of LOST and have recently realized just how bored I am with most things on TV. What was it about LOST that not only made me look forward to watching it each week but also get lost in the mystery? A passive activity like watching TV spurred me into creatively thinking about the mystery on the screen and into actual action to reach out to a community of likeminded super-fans to conjecture, discuss and engage.
I stumbled across this TED Talk from JJ Abrams and he shares what he loves about mysteries and how it sparks our belief in possibility.

What a fun TED talk, Alli! I loved the mystery box and could just imagine why JJ Abrams held onto it for so many years unopened! There are so many exciting things to pursue for us if we just get our creative juices flowing. Great question. So much potential. Thanks for sharing!
